The History


Established in 1991, “Dimitar Madjarov”company started its activity as a trading and distribution food company.


In 1994 the company started its own sausage production with an assortment of frankfurters and sausages.


Five years later, in 1999, salted cheese and yellow cheese with the brand of “Dimitar Madjarov” went to the customers from the first company dairy.


In 2000 the company started working with the first international chain for modern trade which entered the Bulgarian market.


At the end of 2005 Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) were introduced in the company and in 2006 the HACCP system for control of the critical points in production was established.


The meat processing plant was built with a daily capacity of 30 tons of fresh meat. The plant specializes in the production of raw-cured sausages and delicacies.

In 2007, the brand was the first to introduce flat sausage with F70 caliber to the market for deli counters and display cases. The larger diameter of F70 flat sausage requires 60 days of a precise maturation and drying process, giving the product richer and fuller taste.


In 2008, a quality management system according to the international standard ISO 9001:2008 was implemented.

The potential of the dairy industry has been increased following renovations of the existing facilities and investments in new facilities.


Since 2011 the company has been certified according to the international food standard – IFS – International Food Standard.


The company has been a member of the Association of Traditional Raw Dried Meat Products since its inception in 2009 and in 2012 Dimitar Madjarov was elected as its chairman. The association has successfully registered four traditional meat products for the EU territory – “Trapezitsa” meat roll, “Thrace” spiced pork neck, “Elena” fillet, and “Panagyurska” flat sausage.


In 2015, the company invested in another iconic Bulgarian product by launching a completely new production of Bulgarian yoghurt.


2019 also marked the launching of a brand new product line – functional dairy products with health benefits for the gastro-intestinal tract and immune function. My BifiPro yoghurt was created.


In 2020, “The Quality of Life” series was introduced to the market – a natural selection of sausages produced only from fresh meat, freshly ground spices, without the popular preservatives, only with a live leaven containing the good bacteria Lactobacillus plantarum GLP3.


At the end of May 2021, the company started the production of “Dimitar Madjarov” fresh milk.
